The game of baseball is made up entirely around short burst’s of action.  Most of the game is played at a stand still until the ball is hit.  Once the ball is put into play the player’s in the field have to react and accelerate towards the ball while the hitter and other base runners have to race around the bases.

The ability to hit top speed is huge.
